Happy Summer!

This month’s illustrated wallpapers come packed with the flavours of summer. At least the ones I’ve been enjoying lately.

This month's inspiration
What are some of the things you think about when thinking of Summer? For me, it’s cocktails, bright-coloured flowers, and the sweet sweet smell of coconut. So I thought for July’s theme, why not infuse all those scents and flavours together?
I thought it would be fun to include Margaritas since I’ve recently learned how to make them. Aside from Tequila Sunsets, Margaritas scream Summer and relaxation. So, they were a perfect fit for the vibe I was hoping to achieve.
I wanted to use bright pastel colours to help reflect my idea of Summer. As always, I love using a limited colour palette, so I chose to use blues, yellows, pinks, and green hues.
I went with tropical-themed flowers because they're wonderfully colourful flowers and they’re always fun to draw.
One of the last details I included were coconuts and limes. One of my favourite all-time favourite smells is the scent of coconut. I know, weird right? Most people associate that scent with tanning lotion. And of course, I do too, but it really just brings back fond memories for me. Not at all disliked! Quite fitting for a Summer theme once again. The limes are there as an extension of the Margaritas and to help compliment the rest of the composition.
Final thoughts
Overall, this month’s summery vacation vibe feels relaxing, upbeat and sweet! What do you think?
