Happy New Year!
Happy new year to you and yours. May joy, peace, and success follow you everywhere you go and whatever you do! Along with this new year comes an opportunity for reflection and planning for the upcoming year. As I was planning for 2022 I wanted to spend some time rethinking how I share my monthly wallpapers with you.
As you may know, last year, I started sharing free monthly wallpapers for your phone over on Instagram. But this year, I wanted to expand on that offering, as well as find a better and more efficient way of sending you those freebies each month.
I started thinking about the various ways I could do that and I finally decided that starting an email newsletter was the best way to go. There are a bunch of benefits for both you and me. For example, it’s a great way to keep in touch with each other and a more personal way for me to communicate with you directly. This also allows me to send you monthly updates, tips & tricks, and of course my wallpapers!
So having said that, if you sign up for my newsletter, you’ll get exclusive emails every month with not only a new wallpaper for your phone but also for your computer or tablet. No more finagling trying to save an IG story on your mobile anymore! YAY! Everything is simple and neat and right at your fingertips!
I hope you’ll be one of the first to join my list and be part of my email family!

This month's inspiration
If you follow Pantone at all, you might have heard that their new colour for 2022 is Very Peri (a periwinkle-like blue colour) and so I thought it fitting to create this month’s wallpaper using it as part of my inspiration. I also used a limited colour palette of 3 colours, I really love working with a limited palette, it’s so refreshing and stress-free!
You might also notice that my art style is a bit different here, well that’s because over the holidays I spent some much-needed time soaking up some Skillshare classes. One of those was by none other than Gia Graham with her super fun course named Fun With Florals: Create Flowers with Dimension & Personality in Procreate. All the florals for this illustration were created from my imagination using zero photo reference, which isn’t something I’ve done in a long time! It was so freeing, I must admit! What a great start to 2022!
Final thoughts
I hope you’ll sign up for my newsletter because I can’t wait to get to know you better and to share some really fun things with you including these January wallpapers! I hope to see you in your inbox soon!
